Call to Worship
From Psalm 33
PASTOR: The
eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his
unfailing love,
PEOPLE: We
wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.
PASTOR: In
him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.
PEOPLE: May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you.
Invocation
Reverend Ronnie
Rowe
PASTOR: O Lord, open my lips,
PEOPLE: And my mouth will declare your praise.
* Hymn of Praise
Hymn 30 - Our God, Our Help in Ages Past
* Preparation For Confession
WSC 79, 80 * 81
LEADER: Which is the tenth commandment?
PEOPLE: The
tenth commandment is, You shall not covet your neighbor’s
house, you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his
maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is your neighbor’s.
LEADER: What is required in the tenth
commandment?
PEOPLE: The
tenth commandment requires full contentment with our own condition, with a
right and charitable frame of spirit toward our neighbor, and all that is his.
LEADER: What is forbidden in the tenth
commandment?
PEOPLE: The
tenth commandment forbids all discontentment with our own
estate, envying or grieving at the good of our neighbor, and all inordinate
motions and affections to anything that is his.
Confessing our Sin
* Assurance of Pardon and Peace of God
1 Peter 2:24
LEADER: Hear
the promises of God to those who truly repent of their sins and trust in
Christ: He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that
we might die to sin and live in righteousness; for by His wounds you were
healed.
The peace of the Lord be always with you!
PEOPLE: And
also with you!
* Confession of Faith
Nicene Creed
LEADER: People of God, what do we believe?
PEOPLE: We
believe in one God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God
begotten of his Father before all worlds.
God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God,
begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father;
by whom all things were made;
who for us and for our salvation came down from heaven,
and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary,
and was made man;
and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered and was buried;
and the third day he rose again according to the Scriptures,
and ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father;
and he shall come again, with glory,
to judge both the living and the dead;
whose kingdom shall have no end.
And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son;
who with the Father and the Son together
is worshiped and glorified;
who spoke by the prophets;
and we believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church;
we acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins;
and we look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

* Praising Our God
Doxology (Hymn 731)
Praise God from whom all blessings flow; Praise him, all creatures
here below.
Praise him above, ye heav’nly host: Praise Father,
Son, and Holy Ghost. Amen.
* Dedicating Our Lives & Gifts
ALL: Almighty
and ever-blessed God,
who in the abundance of your goodness
always gives us more than we desire or dare to ask:
Pour forth upon us, we beseech you, a spirit of thankfulness,
and increase in us the grace of charity,
that we may ever be more willing to give than to receive;
and so rule our hearts
that all we have may be used for your service,
and we ourselves be consecrated to you,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.Amen.

I’ll Fly Away
I’ll fly
away, oh glory, I’ll fly away.
When I die, hallelujah bye and bye, I’ll fly away.
Some bright morning when this life is o’er, I’ll fly away.
To a land on God’s celestial shore, I’ll fly away.
When the shadows of this life have gone, I’ll fly away.
Like a bird from these prison walls has flown, I’ll fly away.
Chorus
Oh how glad and happy when we meet, I’ll fly away.
No more cold iron shackles on my feet, I’ll fly away.
Chorus
(Children ages 4&5 may leave for Children’s Church.)
Just a few more weary days and
then, I’ll fly away.
To a land where joy will never end, I’ll fly away.

has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.

our Passover has been sacrificed for us.
PEOPLE: Therefore,
let us keep the feast.
PASTOR: The
gifts of God for the people of God.
PEOPLE: Thanks be to the Lord.

PASTOR: Now
to him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you
before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy—to the
only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and
authority, through
Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore.

be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! Amen.
