TNPC Annual Congregation Meeting

The annual meeting of the congregation was held in the church sanctuary on Wednesday evening, Jan. 20, beginning at 7:11 PM.  The meeting was opened with prayer by the moderator, interim pastor John Rantal.  He then gave a devotional based on Titus 2:1-10.  Minutes of congregational meetings held in 2009 were approved as submitted.  Reports were given by Joel Aguilar for the Deacons, Sandy Hotz for WIC, and John Dishman for the Session.

Emeritus elder Dr. Bob Longacre received a standing ovation for his service to the church.  About a year ago, he came out of emeritus status to serve as an active Session member while he and his beloved wife were both facing significant health issues.

The six men standing for election as officers were introduced by the moderator.  These men were all duly elected to office by overwhelming majorities. These were:

Ruling Elders - Joel Aguilar, Wayne Bowman, Matt Turner

Deacons - Rudy Gonzalez, Ed Hotz, Rowell Lubbers

Since there was no further business, the meeting was closed with the singing of “How Firm a Foundation” at 8:31 PM.
