Men's Leadership Retreat
By John DishmanApproximately 25 men attended the men's leadership retreat on Sept.11 & 12. Included among them were both (1) past and present officers and (2) men nominated for officer training. Our sister church, Park Cities Presbyterian, generously made their facilities available for the retreat. Pastor Pete led discussions of material found in the book Simple Church. This book focuses on how churches can simplify and clarify their process of making disciples - as the Lord has commanded His church to do. The retreat also included a very meaningful time of worship and prayer led by Stephen Neilson, a well known pianist and PCPC member. Pastor Pete believes that the retreat was a major milestone in rebuilding the leadership of the congregation as we seek to follow the Lord's command to make disciples of all nations.
